#17 (“I love to live with Paul. . .”)

                        I love to live with Paul, my love and joy—

                        Each day unfolding al’anew with thrill

                        And peace, in pace with each so noth’g cloy,

                        Emotions sweet and love that builds e’er real.

                        Do praise too much my love and joy of Paul?

                        To tell my love unwise?– I ask you deep. . . .

                        Nay, ‘tis so wise to find the Love, my call

                        In Life to share with mate, and joy to reap!

                        My Paul, be sweet to me alway’, and kind,

                        For I do love the peace and thrill you bring.

                        I say to you oft’ time’, you still my mind.

                        A blessing true are ye to me, my king.

                                    O’r love grow deep with passing day and year;

                                    All time be by my side, my love, just here.

I have written both love and divine sonnets in the Elizabethan style for a long time. Now I am gradually adding them to a blog. Most are dedicated to my husband.
